Desert Homestead
In the natural environment of Sesriem, you can find the Desert Homestead Lodge. An ideal base camp for visiting the famous Sossusvlei. The lodge has 26 well-equipped chalets with air conditioning. The lodge was fully renovated in 2014 and the accommodation runs entirely on solar energy. The Desert Homestead Lodge is located 30 km southeast of Sesriem. The lodge is in a private nature reserve near the “Namib Sand Sea”, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Desert Homestead Lodge is known for its horse safaris through the Namib Desert. The tours are suitable for both experienced riders and beginners (under the guidance of experienced instructors). Various tours are offered, ranging from an afternoon tour to a 2-day trip. Ask for other available activities at the reception.
