Kunene River Lodge
The Kunene River Lodge, situated on the bank of the Kunene River (at the border between Namibia and Angola), has a number of fully equipped chalets and luxurious rooms. The lodge has a patio above the water so that you can end your day of travel through Africa with a beautiful sunset by the river. You can book various activities at the reception of the Lodge, such as rafting, canoeing, and sunset cruises and bird cruises on the river. Of course, this area is also great for hiking.
Recently, the gravel road between Ruacana and Epupa Falls has been renewed and the Kunene River Lodge in Kaokoland has become more easily accessible. During the wet season, you should take the different rivers you need to cross in Kaokoland into account, as there is a chance the lodge may be more difficult to reach.
