Satara Restcamp – Campsite
Satara Restcamp is a spacious campsite in the middle of Kruger Park. The camp offers 100 campsites and 152 chalets. The benefit of this larger camp is its good facilities. The camp has a restaurant and a larger supermarket that is equipped for self-catering in the camp. As a campsite guest, you can make use of the cooking facilities and the clean toilet blocks with hot and cold water.
Satara Restcamp is also known as the ‘catcamp’ because it is a good place to spot lions, leopards and cheetahs. Because the camp is in a fertile area, it attracts many antelopes. An ideal hunting site for hunters. Satara Restcamp is a bit older and is slowly but surely being modernised. For instance, more and more bungalows are getting air conditioning and the camping pitches have electricity.
Satara Restcamp is a well known accommodation during self drive 4×4 trips in Kruger National Park.
