Camdeboo National Park

The Camdeboo National Park is located in the Karoo and surrounds the town of Graaff-Reinet almost completely. The park covers an area of 194 km2 and is known for the Valley of Desolation. Here, steep cliffs rise 120 meters from the valley. It creates a beautiful view with vast plains of the park in the back.

The park is perfect for short walks. The Crag Lizard Trail lasts about an hour and passes several viewpoints. A nice route to discover the park. In addition, various animal species can also be found in this park. There are more than 220 registered bird species and 43 mammals. The endangered Cape Mountain Zebra also lives in this area.

Accommodations in the Camdeboo National Park are the Lakeview Tented Camp and the Nqweba campsite.
