Kunene River

The source of the Kunene River is in Angola and it flows into Namibia, where it forms the natural border between the two countries. The river ultimately ends up in the Atlantic Ocean. The river is mainly known for the majestic Epupa Falls in Namibia, but this area is also great for birdwatching, canoeing and boat safaris. A ‘sundowner’ boat safari is a great way to end your day here. There are plenty of other adventurous activities here as well, such as rafting.

The river attracts many wild animals, which makes a safari from the water a very special experience. This area also offers beautiful hiking opportunities.

A beautiful accommodation on the Kunene River is the Kunene River Lodge, where you can camp or stay in chalets.
