Kalahari Sunday Pan Campsite
Just below the Leopard Pan is the Sunday Pan in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. The Sundays Pan is a large pan surrounded by high dunes. The acacia trees provide shade here. Camping in this pan gives you the real Africa adventure, literally in the middle of nowhere. You can enjoy the vast environment here in complete peace and in the evening, all you need is the impressive starry sky. The campsite is very basic. It offers a camping pitch, but other facilities are missing here. There are no trash bins, so you are supposed to take your trash with you and dispose of it at the access gate.
You need to bring your own drinking water before you enter the Game Reserve. Also make sure that when camping at this campsite, you keep food in a closed car rather than in the tent. This way, wild animals will keep their distance. Be prepared to meet the amazing, adventurous Africa!
